We are seeking a highly experienced & strategic Application & Product Security leader to join our team as a Senior Engineering Manager.

As a seasoned security expert, you will be responsible for leading the security effort for CLEAR's software applications & products, ensuring the integrity & confidentiality of our customers' data.

Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying & mitigating security risks, developing & implementing secure design & development practices, & collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of our products.

What you'll do :

  • Hire, develop, & grow security engineering talent by providing career growth support, effective feedback, & performance reviews
  • Lead the Secure Design & Implementation function, ensuring that CLEAR's products are designed & implemented with security in mind
  • Develop & maintain a deep understanding of CLEAR's security requirements & industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, & Operations, to ensure secure design & implementation of products
  • Manage a team of security engineers responsible for securing CLEAR's products
  • Develop & maintain secure software development lifecycle processes & procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats & technologies, & apply this knowledge to improve CLEAR's security posture

What you're great at :

  • Have practical knowledge of all aspects of software engineering, including coding, maintenance, architecture & design & how security is injected
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with cloud native applications & containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong understanding of modern programming languages & frameworks (e.g. Java, Python, React)
  • Have led teams in secure software development, including design, architecture, & implementation
  • Have managed multiple security teams, including security engineers & security architects
  • Experienced in modern security technologies & practices, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, & secure coding
  • Able to build, manage, & work with multiple teams to achieve defined security goals
  • Curious about security trends & technologies, with a commitment to ongoing learning & professional development

The base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $240,000, depending on levels of skills & experience.

The base salary range represents the low & high end of CLEARs salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience & performance.

The range listed is just one component of CLEARs total compensation package for employees & other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
