Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Bedford, Texas . This contract-to-hire opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities :

• Perform clinical duties, follow OSHA and infection control standards, interpret and carry out provider orders, and assist with procedures.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs and record medical history, and chief complaints.
• Prepare and administer medications, observe patient responses, and perform specimen collection.
• Document patient communication and interventions in the EMR, update the Health Monitor, and maintain lab specimen logs.
• Coordinate outpatient testing and referrals, handle messages and medication refill requests, and process data for providers.
• Maintain logs, restock and disinfect rooms, and adhere to infection-control and medication storage procedures.

Qualifications :

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Medical Assistant certification or registration required
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Phlebotomy skill experience

Additional Information :

• Location : Bedford, Texas
• Job Type : contract to hire.
• Schedule : Monday to Friday 07 : 00 am to 06 : 00 pm
• Pay Range : $ 17.00 to 23.00 / hour.
• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
