LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant for one our customers located in Walnut Creek, CA. This position is 100% in-office.
The role will play a key role in our finance department, responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for accuracy.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analyses
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors as necessary
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with a medium to large ERP accounting software
- Advanced with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience : 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant (Staff Accountant, Accountant, General Ledger Accountant)
