Our leading financial client is seeking a versatile Mid Level Digital Designer to join their in-house team! The winning candidate has a passion for creating award-winning work and is an excellent conceptual / strategic thinker, as well as a natural collaborator and storyteller.

You have exceptional design skills in all things digital, such as interactive banners, social media, email campaigns, presentations, consumer journeys and brand campaigns, including still and motion-based executions.

You’ll solve problems in collaboration with creative directors, art directors, content strategists, copywriters, designers, developers, videographers, the account team and more.

Primarily responsible for designing national advertising and marketing campaigns for digital business platforms across the enterprise that focus on internal and external B2B and B2C campaigns.

You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for concepting and executing on a wide range of creative projects including but not limited to : national advertising campaigns, brand identity development and campaigns, corporate events, environmental design, presentations, website design, social media, email campaigns and banner ads
  • Collaborate with art directors, graphic designers, proofreaders, animators, videographers, photographers, 3D designers, digital designers, content strategists, front-end developers and / or additional outside vendors as required as they relate to a project
  • Skilled in PowerPoint and can approach those projects the same way you would approach more conceptual / storytelling projects
  • Video experience (like storyboarding) is a plus
  • Help bridge the gap between production work and conceptual work
  • Provide creative thought leadership in the development of high-quality, conceptual, visual design projects
  • Follow a creative brief and work with account managers and project managers to ensure assignment is clearly outlined and estimated
  • Understand strategic marketing initiatives and campaign strategies
  • Question client / marketing strategy when it doesn’t align with market research, follow the creative brief, or meet the needs of the consumer
  • Conduct and participate in creative reviews
  • Present work to peers, managers, clients, and executive leadership
  • Follow budgets, timelines, and internal processes for each project
  • Work expeditiously on a high volume of projects with constantly changing deadlines
  • Make sure all objectives are being met and that work is error-free
  • Work with project managers and account managers on all project initiatives and help coordinate the flow of large projects with the creative team
  • Offer new ideas for creative processes and collaboration
  • Perform other duties and / or special projects as assigned

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts OR in lieu of degree a high school diploma and 12 years of work experience in visual design and management experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional advertising agency experience and / or work within an in-house creative team
  • Digital focused strategic / conceptual thinker

  • Strength in multitasking and problem solving

  • Innovative and out-of-the-box conceptual thinking

  • In-depth knowledge of, and experience in, creating and developing brand identity
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Outstanding communication and great people skills
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD)
  • Proficient in UX / UI programs such as Sketch, Figma and InVision
  • HTML 5, CSS and ActionScript experience a plus but not required
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Banking and Financial design experience a plus but not necessary

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $ to $ an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
