Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our client, a construction company located in Englewood, is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to become part of our growing business.

In this role, you will be a key member of the local team and will work with the accounting team at corporate Headquarters.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report to the General Manager at the local branch. You can expect to work in a diverse cultural atmosphere and create relationships at various levels of the company.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist reports to the local General Manager and will be a key business partner with administrative duties, payment application, and other departments.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Duties :

• Creates sales orders, invoices, and manages the billing process in a timely manner.
• Manages payment application process to ensure payments are properly coded to customer’s accounts timely.
• Handle all customer correspondence regarding payment status, invoice requests and inquiries, including researching and resolving accounts receivable issues with account managers and customers.
• Issue customer credit memos, ensuring appropriate back up documentation is included and proper approvals.
• Manages the collection process and ensures customers adhere to their credit limits.
• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Supports customer master data including setting up customers properly and working with sales on credit applications.
• Reconcile customer statements.
• Assist with updating pricing sheets for the salespeople

Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications :

• 3-5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in AR
• Previous experience in construction
• Very Proficient using Microsoft Excel (putting together spreadsheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)
• Previous experience with ERP systems, SAP a plus
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Hours for the Accounts Receivable Specialist are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 - 5 : 00 (with flexibility) in a business-casual environment
