Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.

5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.

S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the Field Project Manager Position

Depending on the candidate pool qualifications this position may be filled at Associate Field Project Manager, Field Project Manager or Senior Field Project Manager level.

As a Field Project Manager you will assemble and lead cross-functional teams to complete maintenance and construction projects required to ensure system integrity, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and business growth, applying Company project management processes.

In this role you will oversee the safety of assigned resources, including critical thinking to evaluate and mitigate potential future risks.

The Field Project Manager will also develop scope, schedule, budget, and various project plans. And ensure that project design, construction, execution, and documentation adhere to regulatory and Company requirements.

This role is also responsible for evaluating project performance, documenting lessons learned, and sharing learnings as appropriate.

  • Oversee the safety of assigned inspectors and crew members and set clear expectations for project teams to comply with Safety polices.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional teams to complete maintenance and construction projects required to ensure system integrity, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and business growth.
  • Ensure project design, construction, and execution adhere to regulatory and Company requirements and accurate completion of documentation.
  • Develop cost estimates, track, and control costs, submit committed costs, and forecast monthly expenditures accurately.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to determine appropriate contracting strategy for external resources.
  • Actively communicate with project stakeholders, including timely project status updates.
  • Support the development, execution, commissioning, and closeout of major projects.

What You Bring to the Table :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or technical discipline from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and / or education.
  • Ideally, 3+ years of Project / Construction Management experience or 5+ years Pipeline / Oil / Gas / Energy Industry experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Knowledge of government regulations and industry recommended practices and standards related to pipeline, tanks, and terminals.
  • General knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company's core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
