POSITION SUMMARY :
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) PRN key responsibilities include but not limited to : To provide nursing care for psychiatric patients under the direction of a registered nurse;
to administer and monitor the effects and side-effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management including crisis intervention.
Qualifications
EDUCATION : Required : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Vocational Nursing.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION : Current Texas State Vocational Nurse License. Current CPR or BLS certification. Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date.
EXPERIENCE : One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting (preferred).
WORK HOURS : 12 hour shifts. May be required to work flexible hours and weekends.
