What you’ll do :
Provides routine gynecological and obstetrical care for women. Performs annual physicals, healthmaintenancescreeningsandordersimmunizations.
Performsprenatalandpostnatal check-ups.
Orders and interprets diagnostic studies and lab work for OB / GYN patients. Differentiates normalfromabnormalfindingsthroughthephysicalexamaswellasthereviewofbaseline historiesandsystems.
OrdersandinterpretslabworkandotherdiagnosticstudiesforGYN patients.Developsandimplementsaplanofcarethatmayincludeprescribing medications and / or othertreatments.
- Provides complete pre-natal care including abdominal and pelvic exams. Educates women andfamiliesaboutnaturalfamilyplanning,childbirthoptions,nutrition, andotherissuesrelated to pregnancy and childbirth
- Themidwifeprovidesobstetricalmanagementandattendsdeliveriesofhospital-patients presenting at or over 35 completed weeks ofpregnancy.
- Collaborates with the on-call MD regularly and / or as needed. May refer patient to MD or subspecialty physiciansifpatientneedsarefoundtobemorecomplexthanthemidwifeis licensed totreat
- Prescribesmedications,treatmentsorproceduresasneededandwithinthescopeofhospital privileges.
- Providescareforpatientswithmoderatelycomplexpregnancy-relatedorgynecological problems.Diagnoses and determines course of treatment for such problems.
- May perform designated office procedures such as NSTs, AFl's, endometrial biopsies, BartholinWordCatheters,skinbiopsiesandcolposcopieswithappropriatetrainingand certifications.
What you’ll bring :
- CurrentregistrationintheStateofNHasaRegisteredNurse.
- BasicLifeSupport(BLS) certificationrequiredandauthorizationtopracticeintheexpandedrole.
- Possession and maintenance of DEAlicense.
- TwoyearsofexperiencewithstrongpreferenceforexperienceasaNurseMidwifewithinan OB / GYN setting.
- Must maintain hospitalprivileges
