JobSummary :
Provides direct nursing carein settings where patients require complex assessments andintervention, in accordance with established policies, proceduresand protocols of the healthcare organization.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements :
PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects comprehensive datapertinent to the health care consumer's health and / orsituation.
- Triages each health care consumerutilizing age, developmentally appropriate, and culturallysensitive practices to prioritize and optimize health care consumerflow, expediting those health care consumers who require immediatecare.
- Analyzes the assessment data to determinethe diagnosis or issues.
- Identifies expectedoutcomes for a plan individualized to the health care consumer orthe situation.
- Implements, coordinates, andeducates, to promote health and a safe practiceenvironment.
- Evaluates progress towardattainment of outcomes.
- Communicateseffectively in a variety of formats in all areas ofpractice.
- Demonstrates leadership in theprofessional practice setting and theprofession.
- Attains knowledge and competencethat reflect current nursing practice.
- Appliesthe existing body of evidence-based practice and scientificknowledge in health care to Emergency Nursing practice, ensuringthat nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specificneeds and clinical needs as described in the department's Scope ofService.
- Works in a constant state of alertnessand safe manner.
- Performs other duties asassigned.

Graduate of accredited school ofnursing or education equivalency forlicensing
