An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, maintains production and facility equipment to meet the operational business needs within a Distribution Center environment.
This role will be supporting third shift operations.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Assists the team by performing repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment found in a heavy industrial environment.
- Provide maintenance support for the facility and operations.
- Provide support for equipment such as, automated conveyor systems, vision systems, semi-automated palletizers, various semi / auto packaging machines, industrial air compressors, HVAC systems, and more.
- Assists in the relocation of machines / fixtures, materials, and equipment as required.
- Assist in machine changeover to support production.
- Utilizes machine / facility schematics, diagrams, and specifications to provide effective resolution.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, re-build and repair all plant equipment consisting of, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and minor electrical devices.
- Fabrication and / or repairs such as, the construction of guards, ducting, spouts, etc.
- Ability to weld.
- Requires thorough knowledge of the functions and operations of all plant / facility equipment and machinery to provide for effective operation and a safe environment.
- Ability to use the tools and measuring devices common to the Maintenance Mechanic's Trade.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar work environment and responsibilities is required. Journey-level card in a mechanical or trade or equivalent Trade / Vocational education is preferred.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of electricity, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical functions
- Self-motivated with the ability to function in a team environment as well as working independently as required.
- Willingness and the ability to train, instruct, and mentors others.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as well as positively contribute to a team environment.
- Perform all work timely as required according to Company safety policies, recognized industry standards, and always follow what is known to be safe practices.
