Medical Assistant Back Office
Required Minimum Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma and Medical Assistant Diploma
Certification : MA Certificate
Experience : 3 -4 years of back office
Preferred skills : Family Practice
Monday- Friday
Shift Start and End Time : 8 : 00 am 5 : 00 pm
length of assignment : Contract
Medical Assistant Duties :
- Taking patient histories and vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse).
- Drawing blood and performing phlebotomy.
- Preparing patients for examination by the physician.
- Assisting the physician during exams and minor procedures.
- Administering medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Performing basic laboratory tests and collecting specimens for lab tests. Notifying patient of about lab results.
- Providing patients with information and instructions about medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Performing routine diagnostic tests such as EKGs and respiratory tests.
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing the provider’s schedule
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient medical records.
- Must know how to use electronic health records (EHR) and ensuring confidentiality (HIPPA)
