Flowtec is looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a background in industrial manufacturing to oversee the Houston, TX and Louisiana territory.
This role involves generating market demand, acquiring new customers, and maintaining existing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expert-level product knowledge to effectively present to customers
- Identify key engineering accounts and schedule product presentations, with a focus on quarterly metrics and specification conversion as a primary goal
- Build and execute business strategies for all customer segments within the assigned territory
- Analyze sales statistics to promote sales, review market analyses to determine customer needs and volume potential, set price schedules, and develop sales campaigns aligned with company goals
- Manage customer relationships by resolving client concerns, ensuring accurate system setup, providing price quotes, and scheduling weekly visits
- Follow up on new leads and referrals to generate new business
- Conduct sales activities throughout the territory by visiting engineering firms, distributor partners, OEMs, and end-user customers to secure new business and expand existing opportunities
- Create and develop a plan to achieve the district’s sales budget numbers monthly, quarterly, and yearly
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 3- 5 years of relevant automation outside sales experience
- Background with control valves, actuators, instrumentation, pumps, and / or control systems
- Chemical or similar industry experience is a MUST
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
- Willingness to travel 50%
- Candidates must be located in the Houston, TX area
