Responsibilities include interfacing directly with engineering team, planning, and maintaining project schedules and budgets, using engineering skills to predict design viability, and communicating those results - with recommendations - to respective engineers.
Previous experience testing ground vehicles is desired.
- Analyze components, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and full vehicle using FEA tools (such as ABAQUS, Optistruct, LSDYNA), Fatigue life calculations tools (such as n-code, FE-safe), and validate the models with test correlations.
- Develop simulation models and perform vehicle dynamic studies and validate the models with test correlations.
- Analyze complex simulation data and provide objective guidance on ride, handling, noise, vibration, and durability performance.
- Support validation team project plans that define test deliverables, scope of activities, labor and material costs, and schedules.
- Manage execution of multiple projects to deliver results on time and within budget, coordinating resources and working closely with support groups.
