Staff Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant for an excellent client in Cincinnati Ohio. The Staff Accountant will assist with various accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow within the company. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $22 and $26 / hr.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Process accounts payable transactions.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and document bank deposits.
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
- Provide support for special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
