Title : Lab Technician
Location : Chicago, IL
Shift : 1st (6AM- 3 : 30PM)
Hire Type : Contract To Hire
Salary : $55k-$60k / yr.
Sterling Engineering is looking for a Lab Technician for a leading manufacturers of electrical switches, automotive components and electrical power components in Chicago, IL.

Job Duties :
- Technician is responsible for making sure the chemistry, temperature and pH of the plating bath are maintained by regular analysis
- Technician is responsible for making chemical addition to tanks based on the analytical tests and requirements
- Maintain anodes, filters, and other physicals on the plating bath
- Responsible for making sure that all parts meet the quality requirements
- Maintain lab data on Lab Management software
- Overall lab maintenance including inventory control, raw material check, moving drums and organizing chemical storage
Qualifications :
- Wet chemistry lab experience is required (Experience in plating a plus)
- Testing and maintaining chemical pH of plating tanks
- Ability to use Microsoft office and other software for data maintenance
- Ability to learn X-ray machines, adhesion thickness test and other methods to test the quality of product
- Ability to acquire Forklift license (once converted if CTH)
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
- Lifting up to 45lbs
