This entry-level position is perfect for those eager to gain hands-on experience and grow in a dynamic environment. As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician , you'll primarily work outdoors, contributing to projects and ensuring their safety and quality.

Your Day-to-Day :
- Plan and Document Review : Understand project requirements before fieldwork; accurately record observations and test results related to construction materials.
- Metafield Utilization : Efficiently manage data using field and laboratory information systems.
- Equipment Maintenance : Ensure field and lab tools are accurate and meet industry standards.
- Special Inspection Observations : Follow International Building Code (IBC) standards for testing and inspecting construction materials.
- Stakeholder Communication : Engage with management, contractors, and clients to report project progress and address any concerns.
What You Bring :
- A High School diploma / GED
- 0-2 years of experience in construction testing / inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and / or asphalt materials
- One(1) or more active certifications, a plus :
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) : Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician
- International Code Council (ICC) : Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
- DOT Certifications in the fields of Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete
- Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
- Math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure
Working Conditions and Physical Demands :
You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as :
- Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field / laboratory samples and equipment)
- Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
