Essential Functions :

• You will have PE. You may be the engineer of record on complex projects completed.

• Understands multidiscipline engineering consulting projects and construction execution.

• You will have the ability to minimize errors on tasks completed by yourself, the department, and the project team.
• We are successful when deadlines are met. You will work with project management to develop schedules and durations for required tasks.
• Executes projects within budgets utilizing task metrics. Communicates clearly and proactively regarding budgets.
• Review department resourcing and forecast employee allocation against upcoming tasks. Align the department staffing with company objectives.
• Provide professional development, guidance, and instruction to a team of engineers and designers.
• Perform QA / QC on technical deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.
• Delegate tasks and resource / staff projects to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Assist in the completion of deliverables as necessary.
• Conduct semi-annual performance reviews.

Job Description :

This is a professional position for a Senior Electrical Engineer working for an engineering consulting firm in the oil and gas, mining, and heavy industrial industries.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and overseeing technical deliverables generated by the electrical department.

A Professional Engineer license is required for this position.

Our success is largely due to strong team collaboration within a high-energy atmosphere. The candidate filling this position will be expected to be able to work and communicate within multiple teams.

The candidate must be self-sufficient, yet be able to take direction when given, as well as eager to learn and driven to succeed.

The candidate will assist with the completion of technical deliverables with support from the electrical team as the needs of the company dictate.

The candidate will be responsible for and provide QA / QC on deliverables generated by reports on multiple projects.

The candidate will coordinate with Project Managers and the Vice President of engineering to delegate tasks, resource / staff projects, and meet deadlines.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting semi-annual performance reviews of direct reports.

The candidate will assist in developing proposals. The candidate will maintain and develop department guidelines and standards.

Candidate must have excellent time management skills, be a self-starter with strong initiative, be a team player, and be an effective communicator, both written and oral.

Typical Job Tasks :

• Provide technical assistance to the electrical department on all electrical deliverables.
• Ensure company QA / QC process is being implemented on all work.
• Create and maintain department standards and processes.
• Work with project managers to generate project schedules and budgets.
• Act as an engineer of record for project work within

• Create electrical equipment specifications.
• Organize Electrical Reports, Calculations, and Studies
• Produce Electrical Bid Packages
• Understand the requirements of arc flash studies.
