JOB SUMMARY
Assists in project management support and analysis with some guidance. Works with customers to understand and analyze operational procedures, information requirements, processes and / or other needs.
Required Skills
- Functional knowledge of drafting techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with drafting software.
- Familiarity with conducting field observations and annotation.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to partners and vendors.
Preferred Skills
- Functional knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Knowledge of drafting and construction in the healthcare or academic environment.
- Functional knowledge of space planning or asset management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and update institutional architectural drawings.
- Ensure drawings are maintained to the required institutional and industry standards.
- Work with various departments to create and maintain technical drawing products and resources to support new and ongoing efforts.
- Assist in managing the Space Management platform and associated Space Survey.
- Create conceptual drawing sets and construction plans for small to mid-sized construction and renovation projects.
- Assist partners and consultants in facilitating drawing requests from current and archived projects.
- Assist in the creation of custom maps and drawing products.
- Communicate with staff members, vendors, and consultants to schedule site visits for drawing verification.
- Conduct site visits to collect various forms of data to support institutional planning efforts.
- Collaborate with members of staff and vendors to create functional room numbering plans.
- Ability to summarize observations from data that is collected during site visits.
- Assist in project efforts directly and indirectly related to drafting and facilities management.
