Company Overview :

Our client is a leader in the deli meats and cheese industry known for maintaining high standards of safety quality and efficiency in their production processes.

They are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join their team and support the smooth operation of their production facilities.

Position Overview :

The Maintenance Mechanic will specialize in troubleshooting repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and automated systems that are critical to the production of deli meats and cheeses.

This role requires strong technical skills in mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems and the ability to keep equipment running efficiently to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Visually inspect machinery and equipment for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Repair production or processing equipment with a focus on modern automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze complex problems implementing proper remedies safely.
  • Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts as needed.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts bearings gears and other machinery components.
  • Maintain operations of systems such as pneumatic hydraulic and ammoniabased equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus including transformers breakers switches and electronic components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and ensure continuous equipment operation.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment as needed.
  • Interpret blueprints schematics and manuals to diagnose and repair machinery.

Qualifications :

  • Experience with Crown / Raymond equipment is preferred (but open to experience with other brands).
  • Knowledge of forklift electrical mechanical and hydraulic systems is a plus.
  • Proven ability to use basic mathematical skills in a mechanical environment.

Willingness to work occasional to frequent overtime.

Capable of becoming certified to operate material handling equipment.

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection hard hats and steeltoe boots.
