The products will cover a wide range of Dell / EMC products and applications and we are looking for senior level engineers to drive product development, enhancements, performance, scaling, and defect resolution.

The additional responsibilities will include the ownership and resolution of triage the issues, address the software defects, drive software defects in other components to resolution, and work collaboratively across departments for a successful development, release, and support of integrated solutions.

What you will achieveResponsibilities include developing new features for the Data Domain product offering as well as enhancing the product set to improve scaling, performance, high-availability, cloud integration, disaster recovery, and application integration.

As part of the project responsibilities, you may also be developing test automation and automation framework modules and work collaboratively across Dell divisions to coordinate feature integration and product deliveryWe can’t wait for you to discover this for yourself as a Senior / Principal Software Engineer on our Data Domain Engineering team in Santa Clara.

You will : Scaleout and scale up support in virtual / physical distributed environmentOptimization and Performance (I / O and control path)Analysis and Improving system performanceEncryption and securityCollaboration with Engineering Leadership, Product Management and Customers to troubleshoot and solve complex problems / Develop and review unit test procedures and work closely with QA to develop system integration test plansEssential RequirementsBS in Computer Science or related technical field with minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in UNIX / Linux / POSIX based systems software developmentExcellent knowledge of developing system software using C and C++Solid understanding of Data Structures, memory management, algorithms, locking, design patterns, concurrency models, multithreading, parallel programming and asynchronous conceptsKnowledge of distributed software systems, operating systems, file systems or embedded softwareKnowledge of storage networking protocols, connectivity, and architecturesDesirable RequirementsExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsCompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
