Position Highlights :

• Management of a variety conditions such as environmental allergies, food allergies, medication allergies, venom allergy, eczema, asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis, urticaria / angioedema, anaphylaxis, immunodeficiencies, sinus disease, nasal polyps and more
• Offers testing modalities such as skin testing (percutaneous and intradermal), patch testing, spirometry, and food / medication challenges.
• Treatments plans can include SCIT, immunoglobulin replacement (IV and sub cut) and biologic therapies.
• See both pediatric and adult patients.
• Have the opportunity to interact with Optum colleagues in other specialties (Primary Care, ENT, Derm, GI, Pulm, etc) in our practice. Â
• See both pediatric and adult patients.
• Call coverage is usually once a month for 7-10 days. This includes nights and weekends.Â
• Optum has dedicated departments that aid with prior authorizations and answering questions regarding coding and billing.
• Established volumes with the ability to see an average of 20 patients per day.Â

Required Qualifications :

• BC / BE in Allergy & Immunology
• Unrestricted New York State Medical License or ability to obtain Â
• Current New York State DEA certificate required to start
