ABOUT THE ROLE
Port Driver - Class A
is primarily responsible for transporting products and materials from one place to the next, while adhering to safety regulations and requirements.
The candidate will have a proven track record of flawless driving skills, with no infractions, in addition to exceptional customer service skills and professionalism.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Safe operating of commercial vehicle in compliance with company and Department of Transportation regulations to ensure the efficient pick up and delivery of loads;
local and regional routes
- Complete Electronic logs, Pre-Trips, reports and other required paperwork in accordance with all laws, regulations and employer requirements.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch, customers, emergency services, and management
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid CDL-A License with TWO (2) year minimum driving experience, within the last FIVE (5) years
- TWIC Card required
- Valid DOT Physical Medical Card required
- HAZ-MAT endorsement required
- TANKER endorsement required
- Three years Accident Free- (Regardless of fault)
- Port experience a must
- Must be able to legally work in the United States
- Must have basic English proficiency
- Physically able to perform routine vehicle inspections
