Salary Range : A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $74,100 - $195,000. The posted UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and / or step at appointment.

Position Description
The Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and seeks applicants for Project Scientist positions.
Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the candidates will independently design, conduct, and analyze studies to evaluate cardiovascular disease.
This includes performing studies on both normal and genetically modified mouse models, as well as cultured cells, and analyzing and presenting the resulting data.
In addition, candidates will also be responsible for providing onsite teaching to students in the lab.
Appointments will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist level based on background and years of experience.

Qualifications
