Non- Profit Program Manager
JOB SUMMARY : The Program Manager for Prevention Education will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
This role involves managing a team of program staff, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, tracking program performance, and fostering partnerships with community stakeholders.
The Program Manager will play a crucial role in advancing the organization's mission, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and driving program growth and sustainability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision and Leadership
- Supervise and provide weekly trauma-informed supervision to front-line health workers, including Health Educators, Care Specialists, Senior Counselors, Lead Navigators / Navigators, and other assigned staff.
- Provide weekly individual supervision and biweekly group supervision to staff and assigned interns.
- Responsible for the overall implementation and management of the OASAS contracts.
- Allocate nonprofit contracts, track, and report metrics to stakeholders, and ensure timely achievement of deliverables.
- Actively participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of supervised positions.
- Educate staff on data collection, documentation, and reporting protocols.
- Perform daily chart reviews and periodic group observations to ensure quality service delivery.
- Utilize weekly electronic health record reports to measure program deliverables, ensure data accuracy, and provide constructive feedback.
- Supervise outreach, street outreach, and groups.
- Review, develop, and implement departmental policies and procedures.
Assessments and Patient Data Collection
- Ensure that all client assessments and service plans are thorough, client-centered, and completed on time.
- Conduct and supervise intakes, assessments, and treatment plans. Assign cases and tasks as needed.
- Supervise program staff and complete all required monthly and other reports.
- Ensure all services are provided in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
- Lead the collection of post-program patient data and surveys.
Program Coordination and Outreach
- Participate in department and program meetings, including Weekly Team Meetings, Monthly Tenant Meetings, etc.
- Effectively use tools such as safety plans, community meetings, psycho-education groups, team meetings, red flag reviews, treatment planning conferences, and self-care to create a nonviolent and trauma-sensitive culture.
- Allocate up to 25% of your role to participating in outreach efforts.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to develop targeted messages that increase client engagement and promote activities and events.
Other Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned based on program needs.
- Duties may be outside regular work hours and may include evenings and weekends when needed.
- May serve as a backup driver for the agency mobile unit.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES :
- Expertise in Evidence-Based Interventions and Practices, such as Motivational Interviewing and Strengthening Families.
- Ability to identify system performance measures and implement strategies to enhance staff engagement and performance.
- Strong proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, with project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Independently handles responsibilities within the prevention field, utilizing deep knowledge of sexual risk and trauma impacts on diverse communities.
- Skilled in working with culturally diverse populations and willing to work flexible hours as required.
EDUCATION
MINIMUM : Bachelor’s degree in teaching, psychology, social work or related fields.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
- MINIMUM : 4 years of supervisory a team of 4 or more experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Two (2) years of Non-Profit Management / Allocating funding Experience required
PREFERED SKILLS :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. (Spanish and Haitian-Creole preferred)
LICENSURE :
- NYS Drivers license preferred.
