Newborn/Pediatric Hospitalist PA Opportunity in northeast NC

Seeking BC / BE Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to join newborn hospitalist team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide inpatient pediatric care at 3 hospitals located in Northeastern North Carolina.

Primary locations will be in Edenton NC, a beautiful waterfront community and nearby Ahoskie, NC.NNP and PNP-AC new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Physician Assistants should have at least 2 years of NICU experience.

• Schedule includes 10- 24 / 7 unrestricted call per month, as well as 24-hours of on-site coverage to support continued competency per month
• Clinical responsibilities when providing coverage will include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients and attendance all at risk deliveries and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed
• Transfer support provided by Medical Center
• PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required

Job Requirements include :

• Experienced PNP-AC, NNP or Physician Assistant- At least 2 years of NICU Experience
• NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
• National Board Certification as a Pediatric NP-AC, Neonatal NP or as PA required, including maintenance
• 2+ years of experience in health care setting
