Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Transportation Demand Manager, the Bicycle Operations Coordinator oversees the abandoned bicycle abatement efforts and bicycle registration program on the UC Davis campus.

For all parts below, the word "bicycle" or "bike" is used generically to also include kick scooters, electric scooters, electric bicycles, tricycles, electric tricycles, skateboards, electric skateboards, and any other personal transportation devices that may ride or park on the UC Davis campus.)

Minimum Qualifications

For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and / or educational degree if required of the position.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using computers and smartphones, and knowledge of software programs and applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using complex online databases.
  • Experience providing clear direction, teaching, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating both students and professional staff.
  • Experience serving as the front-facing representative of a program or organization.
  • Skill in organizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bicycle education instructor certification from either the League of American Bicyclists or CyclingSavvy.
  • Experience working cooperatively with law enforcement agencies.
  • General knowledge of bicycles, bicycle mechanics, and bicycle repair.

The Bicycle Operations Coordinator is responsible for running a consistent and efficient abandoned bicycle abatement program and as well as facilitating bicycle registration.

Work Environment
