Summary of Role
The Senior Director, Technical Business Operations (TBO), Strategy & Insights, provides leadership and management oversight to team engaged in providing senior level strategy and analytical support to enable SVP-level decision making and planning.
This leader provides meaningful strategic, technical, financial, and thought leadership for long-term objectives across Lantheus’ Technical Operations (Tech Ops) scope and remit.
This strategic leader will oversee KPI reporting and will lead organizational change initiatives and the implementation of process optimizations.
The Senior Director, TBO will also lead data analytics and continuous improvement teams responsible for providing real time analytics in support of our Visual Performance Management (VPM) operating model.
They will leverage these data insights to evaluate the E2E value stream across our plan, source, make and deliver work streams across all franchises with the objective of developing and executing strategies to support growth, productivity, and digital enablement.
The role will partner with the rest of the senior leadership team to understand future business needs and lead programs and projects to optimize our E2E manufacturing and supply chain capacity and capabilities to deliver on customer requirements, optimize costs, and build in necessary redundancies, flexibility, and agility.
The position reports to the SVP, Manufacturing & Technical Operations.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Provide technical, financial, and business information analysis and actionable insights to support of SVP Manufacturing & Technical Operations decision making.
This may include due diligence analysis for business development.
- Lead technical and financial analysis for the function to enable critical strategic and investment decisions. Includes recommendation development and cohesive integration of complex data and information.
- Lead and influence across internal and external stakeholders and customers to successfully deliver on objectives and timelines.
- Identify, develop, and foster relationships with outside partners and innovators to support and substantiate analyses.
- Performs senior-level strategic, qualitative and quantitative analysis for Tech Ops programs and operational areas conducting research, collecting data and generating business cases to analyze processes and propose solutions to complex issues that require cross functional analysis and data interpretation.
- Contributes to development of Tech Ops strategy and provides leadership to ensure appropriate supply continuity, cost management and risk management strategies are developed and maintained aligned with corporate strategic imperatives.
Highly visible position accountable to cross functionally collaborate and partner with internal and external groups to optimize product availability and profitability.
Lead and conduct benchmarking to objectively assess organizational capabilities and performance. Prepare recommendations and present improvement proposals with a business case, resource and budget requirements;
provide status updates to the leadership team.
- Lead aspects of Business Continuity Plan team representing Technical Operations including the maintenance and periodic updating of Business Impact Assessments and the delivery of functional requirements.
- Actively promotes safety rules and awareness. Always demonstrates good safety practices including the appropriate use of protective equipment.
Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards.

Typical Minimum Skills and Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or related field with a Master’s of Business Administration or other similar graduate degree / experience strongly preferred.
- Consulting background strongly recommended, with at least 1 year of project management experience
- Prior experience in life sciences, diagnostics, med-devices, biopharma, or other relevant industries is required
- Business financial and analytical acumen, with business development experience very helpful
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sharp business and financial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex technical and financial information to enable decision making.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across multiple disciplines in the organization.
- Demonstrated political savviness and ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Ability to integrate information across multiple business units.
- High learning agility, and information synthesis.
- Highly collaborative, seeks to understand the perspectives of the business from those working in the space and provide solutions.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional organizational capability.
- Ability to drive program plans and timelines (across multiple functional areas) is essential. Proven success in goal setting, prioritization and time management is required.
- Understanding of FDA and / or EMA quality and regulatory processes.
- Experience actively participating in a steering committee or joint development committee for pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device product development is highly desired.
- Ability to work independently in decision-making and resolution of program obstacles and conflicts.
