Responsibilities :
Operational Activity :
Assists with monitoring instrumentation, electrical facilities and related control systems with primary focus on Electrical;
Strong focus on motors and VFD’s.
- Assist with forecasting electrical, automation and instrumentation needs for expansion projects
- Calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic and pneumatic instruments
- Installs and overhaul of electrical system components and technical equipment
- Routes and sets up electric power generation, distribution and control systems
- Tracks projects and repairs conducted for assigned locations and facilities
- Orders / receives / stocks and dispenses spares and materials
- Maintains a preventive maintenance system with complete records
- Monitors, maintains, and understands operating, fire protection systems
- Troubleshoots telephone and communications equipment
- Assists with maintenance and operation of sites
- Use a variety of automation software including Cygnet, Delta V, Allen Bradley, RS Logic
- Performs maintenance duties required to maintain operations and regulatory compliance
- Provides electrical and automation services and expertise to field operations and corporate oil & gas entities
- Ensures compliance to regulations and internal and external safety standards
- Acts as a liaison between field personnel and functional support groups providing operational input to projects
- Maintains effective communication with area personnel to ensure all team project objectives can be met
- Assist with forecasting electrical, automation and instrumentation needs for expansion projects

Minimum Qualifications :
years of Land O&G Apprentice Electrician and / or Instrumentation and Electrical experience specific to motors and VFD's;
in lieu of experience, candidate with Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Instrumentation and Electrical acceptable
- Certifications in Instrumentation and Electrical preferred
- Cygnet, Delta V, Allen Bradley, RS Logic software experience preferred
- Must be willing to work in Orla, TX and / or Midland, TX based on assignment
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record; must meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Most work will be based in Orla, TX and / or work in Midland, TX per assignment
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to lift lbs., climb ladders and stairs.
- Walking, bending, and stooping are required.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
- Must be able to work -hour days, with shifts beginning on Wednesdays at Noon.
