The ASIC team within Ring / Blink builds differentiated silicon for security cameras, doorbells, and floodlight cameras.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be building low-level software including drivers that interface directly with ASIC.
This software will be provided to internal customers for developing IoT products. You will be part of a strong team in a fast-paced start-up environment where agile development is embraced and innovation is encouraged.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop low-level device libraries that are consumed by higher-level SDKs.
- Develop device drivers using the low-level libraries.
- Test the software using software simulation and FPGA-based emulation.
- Measure performance of various components including power and bandwidth.
- Have prior experience in BSP (Board Support Package).
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600 / year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
