SUMMARY : Provide Bureau of Maternal / Child Health (BMCH) and develop web-based courses and presentations. This position is a full-time in person position (not remote).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain a working knowledge of policy and procedural guidelines for the Illinois Department of Human Services programs that govern the Community Health Training Center’s curricula.
- Provide clinical / programmatic and computer (DHS management information system) training for the IDHS Bureau of Maternal and Child Health High Risk Family Case Management Program .
- Develop, revise / update, and adapt curricula as directed.
- Travel to the CHTC-Chicago site to provide programmatic and computer training as required by the Illinois Department of Human Services.
- Develop and revise web-based modules for IDHS Office of Family Wellness programs using web authoring software.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to local agencies as needed.
- Perform other duties and attend meetings as required or assigned which are reasonable and within the scope of duties defined above.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience teaching and training adult learners in person, including software skills and on a virtual platform.
Familiarity with engaging various learning styles to use methods to engage all types of adult learners.

QUALIFICATIONS (CONT’D)
Familiarity with web authorizing tools such as Captivate.
Experience with web-based survey tools such as Survey Monkey, Microsoft Forms or other training platforms.
Experience with virtual learning platforms such as Zoom, Webex, GoToWebinar, or other on-line training programs, including use of enhanced features such as breakout sessions, Q&A and digital whiteboard.
Perform other duties and attend meetings as required or assigned which are reasonable and
within the scope of duties defined above.
Experience in Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Above average written and oral communication skills.
