Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for an established Mechanical Engineer to lead repair projects and promote safe operations for a growing manufacturing company.
This role is focused on maintenance, vibration testing, problem solving, and preventative solutions for equipment in a manufacturing environment.
You should be experienced with rotating equipment, motor systems and large pumps.
- Understanding of plant electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems conveyors, belts and splices, bearings, and mechanical drives
- Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with finding replacements
- Read and Interpret technical drawings, schematics, reports, and specifications
- Experience in root cause analysis and problem solving in using different methodologies
- Troubleshooting, repair and operation of machine equipment including replacing electric motors, switches and wires as required
- Routinely inspects, repairs, modifies, and maintains the production machinery
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines;
following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Ensure delivery of products that meet customer requirements and company standards
- Involved with budgeting, forecasts and expenditures
- Work to align production with KPIs and forecasted P&L goals
