Job Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced business operations Project Manager with drug development experience to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key drug development programs and ensuring the successful execution of business operation projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities : Program Management :
Program Management :
Responsible to track all integrated deliverables for preclinical stage assets from discovery through IND.
Develops and manages integrated project plans and timelines in alignment with overall program strategy and corporate priorities
Develops and maintains program and project dashboards to support transparent communications with internal teams and senior management
Develops internal program and project management infrastructure and processes in alignment with industry norms, including scenario planning, risk management and mitigation, contingency planning and decision making
Fosters a collaborative and effective cross-functional team environment through planning, facilitation and effective communication
Facilitates cross functional meetings and prepares / tracks all pre and post meeting materials including minutes, decisions, action items and function-specific deliverables.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with alliances, including intellectual property issues, financial risks, and operational challenges, to ensure successful alliance outcomes.
Business Operations :
Examine current business processes to identify areas for improvement.
Manage resources and operational systems by leading and guiding the work of building new processes that align with company goals, by making it standardized and streamlined to build employee performance and help the organization run more efficiently.
Ensure processes run efficiently and effectively and implement strategies or solutions that drive growth and success.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to document processes, identify inefficiencies / gaps, and help implement solutions that improve workflow and productivity.
Oversee and / or assist with specific operational areas or projects within the organization.
Manage project timelines, procurement (purchase requisitions / purchase order), liaise in the workflow of contracts from start to completion, and record keeping.
Support the day-to-day functions for the Portfolio, Program and Alliance Management (PPAM) team. Help to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Skills :
Expertise in MS Office and project management timeline / Gantt software (MS Project and / or Smartsheet), experience with SharePoint, data capture and analytics software
Experience in drug development process
Highly collaborative with outstanding communication, time management and facilitation skills
Strong organizational skill set with attention to detail in order to manage multiple complex workstreams and prioritize work according to corporate goals
Creative problem solving in a fast moving, dynamic cross functional team environment
Able to recognize need(s), find solutions and take initiative to address in proactive manner.
Strong team player with demonstrated track record of success in a cross-functional team and fast-moving environment.
This position may require up to 10% domestic travel and limited international travel
Flexibility for collaboration across multiple timezones
Qualifications :
Five+ years pharmaceutical / biotech project management drug development experience required including experience with research project management
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD) preferred.
Strong understanding of the pharma / biotechnology industry, including drug discovery and development processes.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex project and programs.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
Further Information :
Salary range : $110,000 - $150,000
