The TPR Human Resources Manager leads the human resources strategies and tactics within an operating region and nationally for specific initiatives, with an emphasis on employee relations, staffing, development, and retention.
TPR HR Manager : Must be located in either Birmingham, AL, or Nashville, TN
- The TPR Human Resources Manager leads the human resources strategies and tactics within an operating region and nationally for specific initiatives, with an emphasis on employee relations, staffing, development, and retention.
- They have the authority to make decisions and lead efforts to investigate and resolve TPR management and employee concerns.
- Additionally, they manage, advise, and lead all performance management and employee engagement activities for the TPR management team.
- The TPR HR Manager will also participate in activities and projects as requested by the CHRO
- The TPR HR Manager is required to travel within their assigned region as well as nationally as needed. We will run an MVR on the final candidate.
Job Description :
- Directs, advises, and coaches directors, practice management, other leadership, and employees in the area of employee relations and Tenet’s policies and procedures.
- Utilizes knowledge and judgment to go beyond immediate solutions to investigate and solve employee and management concerns and problems.
- Applies critical thinking skills and advises TPR Management regarding Labor Relations, Federal and State Labor Law, and Tenet policies and procedures.
- Investigates and provides direct leadership and serves as an advocate in resolving management and employee issues including managing and investigating Ethics Complaints and the Fair Treatment process.
- Makes decisions, recommends, and directs Practice / Operations managers in the performance management / corrective action process to ensure uniformity and compliance.
- Accountable for developing and implementing programs policies and procedures designed to enhance TPR’s management and employee relations.
- Project management and involvement in all TPR related employee activities and recognition events. Accountable for developing and implementing training programs for TPR.
- Maintains current knowledge of human resources related legislation by taking ownership for communicating changes to management and staff as appropriate.
- Provides leadership and feedback to other TPR HR team members to ensure the onboarding, acquisition, and recruitment process goes smoothly.
- Project Management of employee / management base pay adjustments.
- Develops, implements, and trains TPR educational management and employee programs to support staff growth and development including working closely with the .edu team.
- Creates, evaluates, promotes, maintains, and measures strategies designed to improve employee retention.
- Consults, with trains Directors, Managers, and Supervisors on recruitment and retention processes and programs after evaluating the effectiveness.
- Leads and is the subject matter expert in resolving benefits and payroll issues through investigation including managing the HR functions through HRMSWeb
- Uses critical decision-making skills to resolve complex HR problem resolution on the multiple HR issues and benefit plans throughout for TPR facilities including working with hospital HR Leadership team on internal transfers and interdepartmental concerns.
- Directs managers through the Leave of Absence Process.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years human resources management experience in a health care setting.
- Must possess a thorough working knowledge of local, state and federal EEO / employment laws .
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assess client needs and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse client base.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Excel, Power Point and Word.
- PHR preferred.
