Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool Job Specialty : Float Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience required, recent hospital experience in the past 5 years required License : Willingness to obtain an Oregon license (does not need to be active at time of submission) Certifications : Willingness to obtain ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications Must-Have : - Flexibility to float to the medical care unit, post-surgical unit, and intermediate care unit / PCU- COVID vaccination no longer required Job Description : Provide patient care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Nursing Board.
- Utilize the nursing process for patient care.- Educate patients and their significant others.- Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall care.- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and prioritize effectively in response to changing patient and unit needs.
- Exhibit effective teaching skills.- Respond aptly to patient crises and emergency situations.- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
- Be open to assignments in varied areas with a friendly and helpful attitude.
