6-9 Months Experience ask about our Extended Driver Development Program!
We have developed proficiency-based training with experienced facilitators. Drivers will receive 8 weeks of training focusing on all backing, close quarter maneuvers, practice doing short and longer runs and get paid while doing so.
Gain hands-on experience from the finest instructors in the industry.
Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
Weekly Minimum Guarantee during training $1000 per week
Weekly Minimum Guarantee after training $1335 per week
Solo Miles Pay : $0.49 per Mile with 2500 Miles per Week
Solo Stops Pay : $11.00 per Stop with 8 - 10 Stops per Week
Drop and Hook Pay : $6.00 per Drop / Hook

Requirements
9 months or less of CDL driving experience
Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
Ability to :
Follow written and / or oral instructions
Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures
Important Note : Additional requirements may be required in different locations and / or accounts
Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
- Perform other duties as assigned
