The Lead Cath Lab CV Technologist functionsas the lead person for interventional cardiovascular generally foran assigned shift and in this capacity performs lead job dutiesand / or regularly leads projects or performs specializedresponsibilities as a regular part of normal job responsibilities.
Also functions at a CV Technologist II level. Serves as the liaisonbetween management staff and physicians for routine matters as theprimary point of contact for resolving questions and issues forTechnologist I and II jobs as well as support staff resulting inthe delivery of exceptional patient care and adherence to standardsof practice for optimal patient safety quality outcomes andcustomer service.
Duties may be varied and may include many of thefollowing : organize work schedules make work assignments review andedit time cards for accuracy conduct quality assurance audits ofstaff performance develop and implement quality improvementactivities train and mentor staff provide feedback on staffperformance and developmental needs participate in the developmentof skills and performance of staff lead and regularly performspecial projects collect / analyze / report on data prepare reports onperformance and metrics and other responsibilities of a similarnature and level.
As an experienced and fullycompetent CV Technologist completes a variety of routine and highlyspecialized interventional and therapeutic cardiac orelectrophysiology procedures including but not limited toperipheral and coronary angioplasty stents rotablators artherectomylaser and coronary ultrasound;
electrophysiology proceduresincluding ablations and device implantation. Exercises independentjudgment and execution of above average clinical skills onchallenging procedures and patient care situations.

electrophysiology procedures including ablations anddevice implantation. Works independently exercising sound judgmentand executing above average clinical skills on challengingprocedures and patient caresituations.
Provides carefor the physical needs of patients by executing various Cath Labconcepts to maximize performance. This includes : positioningphysiology procedure preparation and technical factors.
Modifiestechnical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognizescomplications / limitations associated with certain procedures.
Proactively addresses for optimumoutcomes.
Serves asliaison between team members management and physicians resolvingroutine matters for the shift / modality. Monitors and adjustsactivities to ensure optimum patient throughput and patientexperience.
Assists physicians duringprocedures.
QUALITY / SAFETYESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Followsradiation safety standards and conducts all imaging proceduresaccordingly. Properly utilizes patient radiation protection andimmobilization during diagnostic procedures.
Maintains propersterile techniques for procedures regularly practices aseptictechniques and ensures compliance with infection controlprocedures.
Complies with job departmental and hospital safetystandards practices andpolicies.
Identifiesopportunities for corrective action and process improvementproviding recommendations and contributes to meeting departmentaland hospital targets for quality and safety.
Reports near missesand inputs errors promptly into PSN to improve processes andidentify trends. Provides feedback to management on team memberperformance andconduct.
- Conducts qualityaudits on equipment processes outcomes and team member performance.Documents develops and evaluates processes andprocedures.
- Assists withimplementation and education of departmental based safetyinitiatives standards of practice and protocols. Develops skills ofteam members and continually assists with improving skillsperformance andoutcomes.

- Provides accurateand complete documentation of patient procedures. Enters charges atthe time service isdelivered.

Accurately reviews and edits team members timecards for managementapproval.

WORKEXPERIENCE
At least 3 yearsexperience as a Cardiovascular Technologist. Prior experience in alead or supervisory role or HM experience and performance thatdemonstrates leadership abilities
