The EV Manager reports directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office.
The core responsibility of a Project Manager is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer-to-peer engagement, and technical training.
As a member of the EV Solutions Project team, the EV Manager is responsible for the coordination of people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.
You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline to ensure the Clients expectations are met.
Essential Job Functions

- Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
- Defining the program's governance requirements.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Developing project scopes and objectives and managing communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
Education & Experience
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management or project management or equivalent degree, or 5+ years’ experience in the electrical trade.
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards.
- Advanced computer skills and proven competency with software such as Google workspace, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Electrical contracting project management experience
- Understanding of electrical installations
- 30 Hour OSHA Certification required within the first year
PREFERRED
- Strong understanding of Electric Vehicles
- Experience with EV charging
- Five years or more of commercial Project Management or Field experience
