Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician I (SP Tech I) is responsible for decontaminating, processing, and sterilizing instruments, supplies, and equipment by following established standards / guidelines.
The SP Tech I demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
Education :
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Completed a Central Sterile Processing technical course.
Work Experience :
One (1) year of Central Sterile Processing experience preferred.
Communication Skills : Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Bilingual skills preferred, Reports
Other Skills : Medical Terms, Word Proc
Work Schedule : Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, On Call
Equipment Operator :
Sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment, computer / printer, elevator system, scope disinfector, heat sealer, and incubators.
