We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Hawthorne, California. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the effective management and profitable operation of your assigned branch office.
Responsibilities
- Enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll system. This includes information such as employees’ hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave, holidays, deductions, and withholding.
- Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
- Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and issue or reissue physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
- Generate, analyze, and present reports on payroll data using your skills in ADP-Payroll, Payroll, ADP Workforce Now, Excel Formulas, and Microsoft Excel.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the management.
- Must possess proficiency in ADP - Payroll
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing is mandatory
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is required
- Proficiency in Excel Formulas is expected
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- The applicant should have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly is crucial
- The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving abilities, especially in relation to payroll processing, is necessary
- The candidate is expected to stay updated on payroll regulations and standards.
