SUMMARY : Responsible for assisting the anesthesiologist with the stocking and general maintenance of the anesthesia carts and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

HOURS : 6 : AM- 3 : PM
Qualifications
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS : Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association certification required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Note : (other duties may be assigned, deleted or changed at any time, at the discretion of management, formally, or informally, either verbally or in writing).
1. Assist in the maintenance of anesthesia equipment, including machines and monitors.
2. Help the nursing personnel in transporting patients to and from the OR and assist in transferring patients to and from the OR table.
3. Assist in Operating Room on an as needed basis. This would include cleaning and wiping down tables, walls, mopping and keeping the O.
R. in a sterile, clean environment.
4. Stock supplies in the Operating Room to ensure ample supplies are on hand during cases, pull supplies for case carts.
5. Assist in the placement of pre and postoperative monitors, padding, and security straps.
6. Help in the workroom between cases to ready anesthesia and other case materials and equipment, as needed for the next case.
7. Help anesthesiologist with any needed records of special equipment or billing material.
8. Order pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies as needed.
9. Stock pharmaceutical and linen shelves in a timely manner.
- Report machine and equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Maintain various logs, as assigned.
- Be available at the end of each case to assist in the transfer of patients to recovery.
- Check for outdated drugs on a monthly basis.
