CNC Machine Technician is a skilled professional responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines. These machines are used to manufacture parts and products by precisely cutting, drilling, and shaping materials such as metal, plastic, or wood.
The key responsibilities of a CNC Machine Technician include :
Machine Setup :
o Preparing and setting up the CNC machines for operation.
o This involves installing and adjusting tools, dies, and other components as per the specifications of the job.
Programming :
o Inputting or editing machine code to dictate the machine's actions.
o Technicians often use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to develop and modify these programs.
Operation :
o Operating the CNC machinery to produce parts.
o This includes starting the machine, monitoring its operations, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality.
Quality Control :
o Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
o This often involves using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
Maintenance :
o Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and making minor repairs to keep them running efficiently.
Troubleshooting :
o Diagnosing and fixing problems with CNC machines, which may involve working with engineers or other specialists.
Safety Compliance :

Collaboration :

Requirements : Technical Skills :
Technical Skills :
o Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including understanding G-code and M-code.
o Knowledge of machine setup, calibration, and maintenance.
o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
o Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Experience :
o Hands-on experience with CNC machines, either from previous employment or from training programs.
o Experience in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or software issues in CNC machinery.
