Job Summary : As a Professional Dog Groomer you will be responsible for ensuring that dogs receive the highest standard of grooming care.

You will use your expertise to perform a range of grooming tasks, from basic baths to intricate breed-specific cuts, ensuring each dog leaves looking and feeling their best.

Your role will also involve interacting with pet owners, understanding their needs, and providing advice on grooming and general pet care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform grooming services including dog hair cutting, brushing, bathing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, anal glands expression, and grooming services
• Provide breed-specific grooming services as required
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each dog during the grooming process
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and provide grooming consultations
• Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, cleaning up after each dog client, following all health and safety regulations
• Handle dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and breeds with care and professionalism
• Monitor dogs for any signs of health issues or discomfort and report to the appropriate personnel and dog parent
• Keep detailed records of grooming services provided and any observations regarding the dog's health or behavior
• Perform emergency procedures when needed
• Communicate with team and manager
• Foster a work culture that prioritizes brand mission, while having fun at the job
• Maintain brand excellence by ensuring the store's presentation and client experience align with our standards, while adhering to dress code and grooming guidelines for employees

Qualifications :

• A genuine love for dogs and an understanding of dog behavior
• Previous experience as a professional dog groomer (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of different dog breeds and standard grooming practices
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle dogs safely and compassionately
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy dogs when necessary
• Commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
• Patience and a calm demeanor, especially when handling nervous or difficult dogs

Must-Haves :

• Genuine Dog lover - an absolute must have!
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• 2 years' experience grooming dogs, 3 years ideal
• Portfolio or collection of before / after photos of dogs / clients groomed We screen for background checks, including employment verification and criminal activity
