Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an ambitious and proven Engineer III to join our world-class team as a Field Service Engineer.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of field service support, customer relationship management, and providing detailed reports to the customer.
Your work will involve providing complete services on equipment systems, including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualifications.
You will also collaborate with the Service Team to deliver technical expertise and ensure high customer satisfaction.
This position is remote and primarily focuses on Central and Eastern PA, specifically Philadelphia. You will have the opportunity to travel to various customer labs across the region to perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and validation of equipment systems.
In addition, you will provide phone, augmented reality, and live support to resolve customer service requests.
Requirements :
- Minimum educational requirement : BS and / or graduate degree in Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience operating analytical equipment, such as chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Experience with method development and analytical chemistry preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to travel 10-20% overnight domestically
- Ability to work overtime, outside regular business hours, and / or on-call
- Regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move 100+ pounds with a lifting team
