This is a very close-knit clinic both with staff and patients. This is a family-friendly and hypoallergenic dog-friendly clinic.
The patient population is primarily geriatrics with lots of complex diagnoses, oftentimes they are not a very complaint.
We do have a growing middle-age population, that we will continue to try and expand. We ask that you treat all patients with respect and dignity no matter race / financial status / beliefs and advocate for them and treat as necessary.
Our patients are very dynamic you will see lots of complex diabetics, metabolic syndrome, COPD / Lung issues etc. We offer our patients and outside patients Wound Care, Diabetic Foot Care (bi-monthly), injections, IV infusions, EKG, Blood Draws, procedures and various other services in office for the convenience of our patients.
Looking for a 30-40 hour per week provider. This clinic operates on a 4 day a week, 10 hours per day schedule which makes for long days at times, especially in the winter.
But opens up more family and personal time. We find this balance works better for our staff. Experience Minimum 1-2+ Years experience, preferably in a subspecialty of internal medicine setting, we only see 18 years+.
Must be current with all licenses, ALS, PECOS etc. Wages DOE, Range $55-$67 per hour. Our clinic is a small clinic with one other provider currently, we do not offer medical or retirement at this time we can discuss this information further, supplemental accident and disability insurance available.
You will be expected to see 10-12 patients per day and keep up with your chart notes. Wasilla Internal Medicine is hoping to find the right fit for our clinic, initially, there will be a 24-36 month employment contract.
No moving costs, we are hoping to find a like-minded Alaskan that can relate to this diverse patient population also accepting out of state applicants.
