Job Description

The Cloud Compute Services Lead will be responsible for overseeing the operations, management, and optimization of a multi-cloud computing environment (AWS / Azure) within the Federal Financial Regulatory environment.

The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure delivery of cloud services and platform features to support the organization’s mission-critical applications and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Oversee the daily operations of cloud computing services for AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability
  • Coordinate with Solution Architects to manage cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and maintenance activities to support business needs
  • Develop and implement monitoring solutions to ensure the performance and availability of cloud services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
  • Support the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for cloud services and conduct regular testing
  • Ensure backup and recovery processes are implemented and maintained for cloud resources
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on cloud-related operational initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Professional level cloud certification / s in either AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, Google Cloud.
  • Passion for all things Cloud and DevOps
  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in related field
  • Demonstrable expertise in cloud engineering, network engineering, and modern Devops practices
  • Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS CodeBuild.
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) principles and solutions.
  • Ability to solve problems by writing complex scripts in Python, powershell, or bash.

Familiarity with some of the following :

  • Azure : Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps, Log Analytics
  • AWS : Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), AWS Lambda, Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Support (Business)
