RN, Definitive Observation Unit, Full Time, Night Shift
LOCATION SUMMARY :
Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977.
Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services.
Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets in downtown Templeton, farm-to-fork dining, beautiful landscapes for hiking and biking, and beach days just fifteen minutes away at Cambria and Morro Bay.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients.
Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice and promoting cooperation among the health care team.
In addition, the Registered Nurse shall meet personal accountabilities as defined in the Tenet Target 100 Standards of Service, People, Quality, Growth and Cost.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :
Minimum :
1) Graduate of school of nursing. (2) Basic computer skills.
Preferred :
1) One-year recent acute care RN experience.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :
Minimum :
1) Current California RN license, (2) AHA- BLS-HCP.
2) ACLS within six (6) months of date of hire or transfer into Critical Care
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :
Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
PHYSICAL JOB CLASSIFICATION :

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS :
May be exposed to : Dust, Fumes (Human Waste), Human Body Fluids, Heat, Cold, Noise, Vibrations, Toxic Chemicals (Chemotherapy agents).
Majority of the work is performed indoors protected from the elements.
PATIENTS SERVED :
This position is responsible for age-related physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients : infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Includes, but not limited to : Patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, physiological changes, psychosocial needs.
