Medical Assistant (Front End and Back End) (Full-Time Position)
Job Summary : A growing aesthetic medical practice in which provides an array of aesthetic services is looking for a Full-Time Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to become an integral part of our Healthcare and Aesthetic team assisting in patient care management.
Skills / Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or higher.
Must be a skilled phlebotomist.
Strong knowledge of integrating computer systems with workflows
Strong communication, customer relations and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, dependable, and able to take ownership.
Must be flexible with schedule. Some evenings and rotating Saturdays will be required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
At least 2 years’ experience as a Front and Back end Medical Assistant with Customer Service.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Patient Focused : proactively and promptly responding to patients’ questions and moving patients efficiently through the check-in / check-out process.
Collecting payment and appointment scheduling.
Anticipates and troubleshoots potential patient flow and scheduling issues.
Ensures excellence in customer service and patient satisfaction.
Works with management to resolve issues and complaints as needed.
Streamline workflows and appointment requests for maximum efficiency.
Effective Communication : ability to effectively communicate orally & written with all levels of the organization, patients, and representatives.
Team Orientated : ability to work well with others to achieve common objectives.
Positive, energetic, flexible, and provide excellent patient care.
Deliver and assist in patient care area in accordance with practice guidelines under the guidance of supervising physician or mid-level providers.
Maintain patient’s medical records detailing all treatment procedures, medication history, and educational materials distributed.
Assisting physician during medical examination and procedures.
Collect lab specimens and draw blood.
Sterilize medical instruments
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
Interact professionally with other team members to provide the ultimate guest / patient experience.
Consistently record and update patient records.
Attend and participate in all general and team meetings. Attend all in-house training.
Review with the supervising physician all delegated patient services on a regular basis.
Responsible to practice in accordance with all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines. Abide by all county, state, and local laws and regulations regarding sanitation, cleanliness, and safety.
Actively monitors patient flow throughout the day and coordinates with providers and staff to ensure optimal patient experience.
