The Denver stormwater group works internally with LJA project managers to provide various drainage analyses and design support to our land development clients as well as providing services to municipal clients.
General Responsibilities :
- Responsible for conceptualizing the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project, or have overall responsibility for the engineering work on a project of limited scope.
- Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates engineering work involving conventional engineering practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
- May work as a Project Manager on single-task projects.
- Supervision of less experienced engineers or technical support personnel is exercised on an assignment basis and is not an ongoing substantial component at this level.
- Exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Makes basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given.
- Facilitate open communication with all internal LJA personnel involved with the project
- Quality assurance for group deliverables
Required Education / License :
- Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer
Required Experience :
- 10+ years’ experience in land development engineering and design
- Experience in working with municipalities and other jurisdictions along the Front Range of Colorado, including Mile High Flood District and private developers
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
