Summary
The Parts Purchasing Specialist and Assistant Manager assists the Procurement Manager with strategic sourcing suppliers, issuing and evaluating RFQs, commercial issues and negotiation, cost reduction opportunities, and overall supplier management, such as supplying and quality issues-preference for candidates who can speak Korean fluently.

Procurement
- Establishes new car sourcing plan and leads sourcing events
- Reviews legal documentation such as RFQs, LOIs, Term, and conditions and develops such documentation according to MOBIS Policy, and make contracts with suppliers
- Review, analyze, and clarify quote packages from suppliers
- Has knowledge of procurement procedures (SR review, issuing RFQ, quotation analysis, and supplier selection)
- Research potential suppliers and find, develop, and coordinate suppliers as necessary.
- Monitors Specialist tasks, including cost analysis for parts, tooling, and any supplier expenses, and negotiates prices with suppliers.
Project Management
- Is responsible for part development and implementations.
- Conducts detailed project plans, tactical execution, schedules, and cost estimates for each part of the project.
- Provides Management overview and reporting on critical project tasks.
- Maintains strong relationships with suppliers, internal and external customers, including the Sales Managers, to ensure on-time program deliverables.
- Communicates regularly with upper management, including HQ, regarding the status of current projects and obtains upper management guidance and approval as required.
Supplier Management
- Leads suppliers to meet the quality requirement during project and program
- Respond to supply shortages for supplier-related issues.
- Conducts Value engineering for any possible cost savings.

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and / or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
- Preferred of 3-5+ years of experience in a Procurement role within a manufacturing / automotive industry for Assistant Manager role
- Working experience with Hyundai / Kia / MOBIS
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial System Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experienced in automotive assembly / manufacturing
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Detailed knowledge of the Just In Sequence process and system in the Automotive industry
- Korean language skills to communicate with Korean Headquarter
- Excellent Leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellence in Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in procurement
- Experience in injection, press, welding, paint, and assembly process
