Federal Business Development Manager

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Federal Business Development Manager .

This is a full-time and hybrid position.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Create pipeline of existing and new federal clients to establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate accounts and expand business
  • Identify growth opportunities by thoroughly understanding the needs of the business through active communication with the client
  • Responsible for business development and capture efforts to successfully identify client needs, and collaborate with proposal team to translate requirements
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and competitor activities
  • Prepare and deliver compelling capability presentations and technical proposals to prospective clients
  • Attend events and network with relevant stakeholders
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience identifying and maintaining client relationships with various agencies within the Federal Government
  • Bachelor’s Degree Business, Marketing, or related field. Technical degree is a plus.
  • Proven ability to navigate federal clients and identify and build relationships with key decision-makers
  • Demonstrated success in selling technical solutions to federal clients
  • Demonstrated ability to use federal contract sourcing tools to identity opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness and strategic thinking
